What if 歡迎來翻譯中心 appeared on our main webpage? Meaning ‘Welcome to the Translation Centre’ in Mandarin Chinese, it would not be out of place as the Centre does provide linguistic services in languages outside the 23 official languages of the European Union. We interviewed Jacky Nazac, Head of the Demand Management Section, to find out more about other languages being offered by the Centre.

We would like to inform you that the Translation Centre is about to change its accounting information system. The migration of data and the setup of the new accounting system will require the interruption of all financial operations in the period from 7 to 22 May 2012. During this period we will not be able to process any payments; in addition it will then take some time to absorb the two-week backlog and to adapt to the new system.

 

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that this could mean some payments being made slightly late.
