The European Economic and Social Committee

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is a consultative body that gives representatives of Europe's socio-occupational interest groups, and others, a formal platform to express their points of views on EU issues. Its opinions are forwarded to the larger institutions - the Council, the Commission and the European Parliament. It thus has a key role to play in the Union's decision-making process.

European Commission Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities works towards the creation of more and better jobs, an inclusive society and equal opportunities for all. The Translation Centre translates CCE-EMPLOI’s documents from English originals into all EEA languages.

The Single Resolution Board

On 8 December, the Centre signed an agreement with the Single Resolution Board (SRB). Based in Brussels, this newly-created EU agency has been operational as of 1 January 2015.

As explained on the Europa website, the Single Resolution Board is "the central decision-making body of the Single Resolution Mechanism. Its mission is to ensure that credit institutions and other entities under its remit, which face serious difficulties, are resolved effectively with minimal costs to taxpayers and the real economy".
