CEPOL is an EU agency, established in 2005. CEPOL’s mission is to bring together senior police officers from police forces in Europe – essentially to support the development of a network – and encourage cross-border cooperation in the fight against crime, public security and law and order by organising training activities and research findings. The Centre has started a terminology project for CEPOL which will continue in 2010.
CEDEFOP, established in 1975, is a European agency that seeks to promote and develop vocational education and training in the European Union (EU). It is the EU’s reference centre for vocational education and training.
The purpose of the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) is to assist national electricity and gas regulatory authorities in exercising at Community level, the regulatory tasks performed in the Member States and, where necessary, to coordinate their action.
