, a website dedicated to language industry intelligence, has released an article on the Translation Centre.

On 30 November 2017, the Translation Centre’s Director, Máire Killoran, and the Head of the Translation Department, Thierry Fontenelle, visited two clients in The Hague: the European Union’s Judicial Cooperation Unit (Eurojust) and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol). They presented the Centre’s activities, quality assurance policy and pricing structure among others, and explored ways of strengthening collaboration in the future.

The American Translators Association (ATA) has published in its flagship publication, the ATA Chronicle, an interview with Thierry Fontenelle, the Head of the Centre’s Translation Department.

We are pleased to announce the release of our first e-newsletter: The CdT language hub at a glance. It features several articles that will give you a flavour of the Centre’s activities and latest news.

This is the theme chosen by the International Federation of Translators (FIT) to mark International Translation Day 2017. The event is traditionally celebrated on 30 September, the feast of St Jerome who is the patron saint of translators.

Eurostat (the statistical office of the European Union) has just published new statistics on language learning at primary level, right in time for the European Day of Languages celebrated on 26 September each year.
