The European Ombudsman investigates complaints about maladministration by EU institutions or other EU bodies. This covers, for example, administrative irregularities, unfairness, discrimination, abuse of power, failure to reply, refusal of information and unnecessary delay. These complaints may be lodged by citizens or residents of EU countries or by EU-based associations, businesses or other bodies.
You should submit any complaint of this nature within 2 years of becoming aware of the facts on which it is based and only after having first contacted the Translation Centre to try to resolve the matter.
