As laid down by its Founding Regulation, the Translation Centre responds to the language service needs of EU agencies and other EU bodies. It may also absorb surplus work from the EU institutions, which have their own translation services. It has cooperation agreements with 70 clients throughout the European Union, as shown on the interactive map below.
The Translation Centre’s client policy is to achieve client satisfaction by offering high-quality language services through close cooperation and information exchange.
We see our clients as partners in an endeavour to reach out to EU citizens in their own languages with accurate and user-friendly information. We therefore encourage our clients to give us feedback on the work we have done, as described in 'Discover our workflow'.
