The European Day of Languages is an initiative by the Council of Europe celebrated every year on 26 September. It was launched in 2001 to promote language learning and preserve the linguistic richness of our continent. As part of this initiative, a series of events will take place across Europe over the coming weeks.
The 2019 JIAMCATT (International Annual Meeting on CAT and Terminology Tools) conference was held in Luxembourg from 13 to 15 May, with the topic ‘The shape of things to come: how technology and innovation are transforming the language profession’. Representatives from the Translation Centre attended the event and took part in different working groups.
