The Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union held its 67th Management Board meeting online, bringing together representatives of EU institutions and member organisations to discuss the Centre’s activities and future planning.

This meeting marked a special milestone, as it was the first Management Board meeting for the Centre’s Acting Director, Mauro Bubnic. It was also the first meeting attended by Ildikó Horváth, Deputy Director-General for Translation, in her new role as Representative of the European Commission to the Centre’s Management Board.

During the meeting, the board approved the Centre’s Consolidated Annual Activity Report for 2025. The report outlines the Centre’s key achievements over the past year, highlighting its cooperation with EU institutions and bodies, its commitment to delivering high-quality language services and its ongoing efforts to adapt to an evolving linguistic and technological landscape.

Members also examined the preliminary draft budget for 2027, an important step in the Centre’s financial planning and in ensuring that it remains well equipped to meet future demands and continue supporting its clients efficiently.

The discussions reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Management Board and the Centre to promoting multilingualism in the European Union and to ensuring that citizens can access reliable and accurate information in their own language.
