17 May has been celebrated round the world since 2005 as the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. To further promote inclusion, the European Commission has declared May as the European Diversity Month, and the EU Agencies Network has launched a number of specific initiatives for 2021.
Since the Translation Centre launched its subtitling service in 2015, about one third of our clients have used it. Over 15 000 minutes have been translated from and into EU and non-EU languages. Why has this service aroused such keen interest? Watch our brand-new video ‘Travelling without subtitling?’, which highlights its numerous benefits.
Last year we celebrated Europe Day with the 70th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration; this time we are setting our sights resolutely on the future. On 9 May 2021, the EU will launch the Conference on the Future of Europe, a citizen-led series of debates and discussions that will be used to draw a roadmap for structural reforms.
