Eiropas Savienības iestāžu Tulkošanas centrs (turpmāk — “Centrs”) ir Eiropas Savienības (ES) aģentūra. Tas tika izveidots Luksemburgā 1994. gadā un tā galvenais uzdevums ir nodrošināt tulkošanas un ar to saistītus valodu pakalpojumus citām decentralizētajām ES aģentūrām. Tas var arī palīdzēt tām ES iestādēm un struktūrām, kurām ir savi tulkošanas dienesti, ja tām ir ļoti liela darba slodze vai saistībā ar konkrētiem projektiem. The latest major release of IATE (Interactive Terminology for Europe) is now live, marking an important milestone for the EU’s interinstitutional terminology system. Managed by the Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union (CdT) on behalf of its EU partners, IATE continues to serve as the central reference tool for reliable, high-quality multilingual terminology. It supports translators, terminologists, administrators and the wider public in ensuring clarity and consistency across all EU languages.
As we move beyond our 30th anniversary, the Translation Centre is turning a page in its visual and institutional journey. We are proud to present our new logo - a sign of renewal and of confidence in the path ahead.

The Translation Centre was proud to take part in this year’s Multilingualism EU Summer School 2025, a flagship training programme for promising master’s students in translation, interpreting and law from universities across the EU. Hosted in Luxembourg at the heart of the EU institutions and bodies between 7 and 11 July 2025, the Summer School offers future professionals in language and law a unique window into the world of EU multilingualism.
The 2025 edition of JIAMCATT, the International Annual Meeting on Computer-Assisted Translation and Terminology, offered a dynamic platform for discussing the latest advancements in language technology, AI and terminology management. With contributions from key EU institutions and global organisations, the conference this year explored the theme 'Minds and machines: solving the quality puzzle', with a focus on ensuring quality and collaboration across multilingual workflows.
On 11 April, students from the University of the Upper Alsace (Université de Haute Alsace) visited the Translation Centre to find out more about what we do and how they can start navigating their future careers in the fast-changing language services industry.
